Plan You Brach Day Mindfully

You cannot get up one morning and decide to go to the beach. You will always want to plan your beach time strategically. Check the weather forecast and choose a pleasant day to hit up the beach. You will want to avoid damaging UV rays when they are at their highest point.

You also know that the sun is at its hottest between noon and 3 pm. To make the most of your beach day, you will want to go early, before noon. During the warmest time when the sun is at its peak, you will want to take a break and chill in the shadows by taking a long leisurely lunch.

You could also plan indoor activities for the time, such as watching a movie or getting to a nearby hotel for a quick nap. You can, however, return to the beach after 3 pm. You get the point – to make the most of your beach day, you will want to plan out the entire day strategically.

If you are planning to chill at the beach with your kids, you will want to be mindful about watching your kids near the water. The last thing you will want to see is one of your kids tumbling by a wave.

You get the point – you will want to have fun – but you must also keep an alert eye on your kids.

Stay Hydrated – Bring Drinks with You

You will want to stay hydrated on the beach day. This way, you can prevent yourself from getting dehydrated. Surely, you will be surrounded by water, but you won’t be able to drink it as it will be too salty.

And believe us when we tell you that you can become dehydrated fast, which is why you wouldn’t want to forget to get one of the best cooler bags to keep your drinks and ice packs cold. Pack water and your favorite beverages with you.

Ideally, you should freeze the water bottles before placing them in the cooler bag. Trust us – the moment you will take out the bottles, the water/ drinks will start to melt fast, making them nice and cool for drinking.

Carry the Right Food with You

Of course, you will be getting hungry on your beach day. And if you are planning an entire day on the beach, you will want to be mindful about bringing the right type of food with you to the beach. Instead of carrying whole meals, you will want to opt for finger foods instead.

In case you don’t know – finger foods are foods that can be conveniently eaten with fingers. Now, if you have particular preferences, such as salads and light snacks, you will want to pack these carefully – ideally – in a cooler bag.

By placing the foods in a cooler, you will prevent them from getting spoiled. Remember, fresh and cold foods will need to stay cool to keep bacteria and molding away. Nonetheless, you can also bring the usual snacks with you, such as crisps – the salty air at the beach will make you crave salty foods more than ever before.

However, chilled fruits, such as apples, grapes, and oranges, make excellent beach snacks too.

Use the Beach Shower

Many people make the mistake of not using beach showers before leaving the beach and hopping into their cars. Of course, you will be carrying sand with you anyway – but – it is always better to wash away the bulk of sand before leaving the beach and driving back.

Sand loves to accumulate inside the folds of swimsuits – and when the saltwater dries, it can make you feel like your skin has become super tight. You will want to wash it off, including your hair and beach flip-flops.

You will want to understand the reason why beach showers are at the beach – they must be there for people to take advantage of them. Lastly, don’t forget to bring extra towels with you that you can spread on the car seats to keep the inside of your car dry and free of sand.

The Takeaway

Strategic planning is essential to have fun on your beach day. When it comes to having fun, you will want to turn your tech gadgets off and enjoy the water, collect shells, build sandcastles, and write/ draw in the sand.
